Abstract
Talking about moderate Islam as well as the stating that Islam is
the middle (neutral), fair, and impartial religion. Islam is a tolerant
religion, which does not promote violence and coercion in terms of jihad and
distribution as well as in establishing the truth. Islam is a full tolerant
religion, but opinionated and should away from the slur as radicalism and
terrorism religion. However, we can see up to now it still can happen
radicalism in the name of religion defense, including Islam. It should be
understood that radicalism happening in the world is a religious resistance
against the pace of modernization and globalization. Despite, Islam as a peace
religion is required to keep vigilant within movement and action, so that, the
efforts ultimately does not only hurt the religious and moral order value.
Moderate Islam should be able to filter all forms and development era without
releasing faith and Syariat which has become the cornerstone of religion. Islam
is not a rigid religion, but Islam is universal religion. One proof of Islam as
of Islam as religion in content and teaching as well as its approaching can be
known from theword of God in the Qur'an,an-Nahl,verse 125 that the mission should be done by hikmah
(wisdom not violent), mau ' idhahhasanah (good advice - empowerment), and
mujadillahbillati hiya ahsan (argumentative) Because it is better. According to
Muhammad Amin Abdullah who told that normatively (law), none of the religious
teachings that encourage and advise his followers to commit violence against
the followers of other religions outside the group. The point is that Islam is
a religion as a bridge race to lead to theunity in peacekeeping. As a moderate
religion, Islam is expected to be a unifying bridge cultural diversity and
modernity of the nation who must be in the world. Because the Islam is
rahmatanlil 'alamin.
A.
Introduction
Radicalism according to Khaled El
FDL is another
term grater. However, he said that purist, in many cases, tend to be
a purist and intolerant of looking at reality of prulalitas. So what about the recognition
of several parties who say that Islam is a religion of terrorism and radicalism? Are
the guidelines of Muslims justifies the people to act both of these?
In this paper, the authors want to set out: 1. Al-Quran and
As-Sunna as a guide Living Muslims. 2. the arguments or dalil in the Qur'an and As-Sunnah which states
that Islam is the unity, tolerant, and peace religion in diversity. By the
expectation of the exposure will be able to conclude that Islam is a universal
religion that aspires to live with a variety of cultural diversity peacely and
ensure the safety of other one, because of the authenticity of Islam as
arahmatalllil'alamin religion.
B.
Al-Quran
and As-Sunna as
Muslims living Guidelines
Islam requires Muslims to believe in God (Allah), Angel (malaikat),
Prophet, the Book of Allah (Holy Qur’an), the dooms day, Qadho and qodar that
all of known as pillars of faith 9Rukun
Iman). Allah is believed by Muslims as a single God who created the universe
and all its contents and all forms of his word to guide human life throughout
the world, the holy Quran. Prophet Muhammad as a messenger of God tasked to
deliver His word to mankind throughout the world. Aside from being a messenger,
all forms of the Prophet Muhammad’s words, deeds, and determination has also
become a way of life for Muslims, Al- As-Sunnah or Al-hadis. It was based on
Allah’s Word in the letter al-Ahzab verse 21, as follows:
"Ye
have indeed in the Messenger of Allah himself a good role model for you".
Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad) you have good example to follow
.... (Q.S. Al Ahzab: 33: 21).
Then Fiqh scholar regard the Prophet Muhammad as Musyarri which
means lawmakers besides of Allah. It is based on Firman Allah in the Qur'an
letter al-Hashr verse 7 as follows:
"What is given by the Apostle, so take or
Work. And what is forbidden by the Apostle shun". ... .and Whatsoever the
(Messenger Muhammad SAW) Gives you, take it. And whatsoever he forbids you,
abstain (for it).
Therefore, the Prophet Muhammad was known as a role model and a
model of Muslim. Prophet Muhammad once said that "It was I left you two things,
that thou wilt not go astray as long as you cling to him, namely the Qur'aan
and the Sunnah of His Messenger" (H.R.Malik).
So it can
be known that the way of life of Muslims are Al-Quran and Al-Hadith /
As-Sunna. For a Muslim, the true faith must be coupled with an understanding of
both sources (Quran and Sunnah) and context the place do they live. The responsibility of a Muslim depend on a double understanding, namely: learning
simultaneously "text messages" and "message from Context"
to find a way to remain in harmony with the teachings of Islam (Imam Malik).
C. The Theorem of Al-Quran qur’an and As-Sunnah about Islam as a
unity, tolerant and peace religion in diversity
1. Unity
In the term of language is defined as a composite (bonding, assembly, etc.) of
several parts that have been united. Unity is closely associated with harmony.
Even the harmony that makes people to be united and peaceful. While pillar
means well, peace, not fighting. Harmony means as living in harmony, peace and
not fight among citizens. Unity and harmony are indispensable in the society
life, for the creation of unity and harmony in a country is controlled from the
societycircumstances. When the community is peaceful, it will make people
comfort and at ease in working, studying, implement the teachings of religion,
development and other.
Islam teaches the Muslims to foster unity and harmony according to
Firman Allah: Meaning: O mankind! We have created you from a male
and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one
another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who
has At-Taqwa. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. (Q.S.AlHujurot {49}:
13).
The verse asserts that Benefit of human different tribes and
nations created are so familiar with each other and benefit to each other. In
another verse Allah forbids His servants the mutual ridicule one another:
Meaning: O ye who believe, do a bunch of men patronizing a collection of
others, may be ridiculed it better than them. and do not also a bunch of other
collection degrading women, may be lowered it better ... .. (Al hujurot {49}:
11). The implementation of the behavior of
unity and religious harmony in daily life can be
classified into two general categories:
A. Unity and Harmony Religious Intern.
Prophet Muhammad was sent by God not only for the Arabic nation,
but also for all mankind and a blessing for the entire universe. Firman Allah:
It means: "Say: 'O mankind! I am the messenger of Allah to you all"…(Al
A'rof {7}: 158). Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O mankind! Verily, I am sent to
you all as the Messenger of Allah….” (Al A'rof {7}: 158).
In the expansion, Islam was accepted by the people of different tribes, nations and cultures. The difference of knowledge and understanding of each tribe and nation, encouraging the emergence of several streams in religion. In the field there are four schools which is very popular; madhhab Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i and Hanbali. The fourth schools each have many followers, including Indonesia. In the aqidahthere are Jabariyah flow, Qodariyah and Ash'arite, the Muslim community organizations exist NahdlotulUlama ', Muhammadiyah, Persis and others.

The disagreement is the dynamics of the Muslims, that Islam really
becomerahmatanlil 'alamin. The disagreement does not become the cause of
hostility and division race. Prophet Muhammad has said that it means
"differences of opinion on my people should be grace". Allah also said that “The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So
make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive
mercy. "(Letter al Hujarot {49}: 10). Dalil hadis persudaraan muslim, almuslimu lil muslim akhor ….
Thus
it was supposed unity and peace among Muslims themselves should not be colored
by conflict because of differences in flow.
B. Unity and
Inter-religious harmony
Unity and inter-religious harmony can be achieved through
tolerance.
2.
Tolerance among
religions
Religious tolerance was taught and exemplified by The Prophet told
the Companions and all his people. For example at the time of Badar war, the Muslim army has captured the
infidel troops, many of the Companions who wanted the prisoners were killed,
but Apostle or Rasul asked that
prisoners of war were released.
Islam permits Muslims to relate with people of other faiths, even
inter-religious tolerance is highly recommended by The Prophet. The attitude of
religious tolerance can be indicated through: Mutual respect and honor the
teachings of each religion. Respecting or not harass symbols and scriptures of
each religion, and do not contaminate or damage the other places of religious
worship, and come to maintain order and tranquility religious activities. Limitation
of inter-religious tolerance that thaught by the Prophet SAW is within the
limits ofmu'amalah, namely cooperation in humanitarian terms. While tolerance
concerns in terms of worship and Islamic faith is expressly forbidden.
FirmanAllah :Meaning: 1). Say: 'O unbelievers, 2). I will not worship what you worship. 3). And ye are not worshipers of God that I worship. 4). And I was never a worship what you worship, 5). And you never (also) be a worshiper of God that I worship. 60. For you your religion, and to me, my religion. 1. " say (O Muhammad SAW to Reviews those mushrikun and Kafirun): "O Al-Kafirun (Disbilievers in God, in his Oneness, in His Angels, in His Books, in His Messengers, in the Day of Resurrection, and and in Al-qodar )! 2. "I worship not that the which you worship, 3. Nor will you worship that I worship roomates. 4. And I shall not worship that you are worshipping roomates. 5. Nor will you worship that I worship roomates. 6. To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Islamic monotheism). "(Surah Al Kafirun {109}: 1-6).
According to the book of tafsir al-Tabari, one reason for the
decline in the verse is originated from an historic and crucial events in the
history of Islamic faith. One day a group of unbelievers proposed that the contents
of an offer to Muhammad and Muslims to worship alternately: during one year of
Muhammad and the Muslims and the polytheists worship Allah together, then the
next year they worship the gods of the polytheists congregation. But Muhammad
did not directly answer, until finally there came the verse.
Similarly, inter-religious tolerance limits possessed Islam also
shows that Islam recognizes religion in others. Whereas in the case of aqidah
and worship of Muslims remained on the teachings and beliefs, but in
socializing and doing good to work together and live together there is no
limitation to its kindness.
In conclusion Baidhawy conclude that "lakum dinukum waliyadin"
at the end of paragraph letter Al Kafirun is a Qur'anic manifesto on the importance
of mutual respect, mutual respect (mutual respect) among followers of diverse
religions. This statement also reflect that confidence is not something that
can be imposed, religious belief is not the area of negotiation and
compromise, but rather rely on personal choice. Hadisnya
juga belum ada.

Peace

Statements of Quran About Islam As a Peace religion."Invite
(mankind, O Muhammad) to the Way of your Lord (ie Islam) with wisdom (ie with
the divine Revelation and the Quran) and fair Preaching, and argue with them in
a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His
Path, and He is the Best Aware of Reviews those who are guided. "(Qur'an,
An-Nahl: 14: 125)
Islam spreaded and taught by Prophet Muhammad is a religion that intendeds to the welfare and safety of all the people of all the worlds. The word Islam itself derived from Arabic means submissive, obedient, happy, prosperous, and peaceful. Thus, Islam teaches Muslims to always uphold peace in the world so that the fraternity may be interwoven.
Before the Prophet Muhammad was sent by Allah to teach Islamic,
history recorded that human life at that time was known as the period of
ignorance. In that age of ignorance occur many uncontrolled thing, such as murder,
hostility, oppression, and so forth. However, after the Prophet Muhammad was
sent as the Messenger of God and convey the teachings of Islam, proof that
Islam is a religion of peace realized. Followers of the Prophet gradually add,
Islam is the religion that promises safety and well-being. This is in
accordance with the word of Allah, "And We sent thee not, but for (become)
a mercy to the worlds." And We have sent you (O Muhammad): not but as a
mercy for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists). (QS. Al-Anbiya: 21:
107).
In
the case of preaching and establishing the truth, Quran or al-Hadith never
commanded his people to do with violence and anarchy, but with gentleness and
peace. Islam is not a religion which teaches violence and anarchy in establishing
a coexistence with other religions. He was able to respect and tolerate,
because of living in diversity and difference in the peaceful is the lofty
ideals of Islam as a religion that guarantees the safety of all the people.
Bit
reviewing the history of the Charter of Medina, where the Prophet Muhammad was as the future
role models of Muslims to build the foundations of how living together could be
built through a political contract with the relevant parties that became known
by the charter medina. Where there are several agreed paragraph therein as a political
contract. The contract covered the various
aspects of social and political life even religious. It was agreed that the
main principles of coexistence between Muslims and non-Muslims include some interesting agreements such as : assurance and diversity of beliefs and religious beliefs. Muslims
and non-Muslims ware as the sections of
society who had have an equal social
and political before the law and governments. Each member who
agreed to a contract would receive the
guaranteed protection of their rights. Non-Muslim citizens had the
right to speak and the right sound like with Muslims
in terms of politics and the public (Read Charter of Madina) State fully responsible for the maintenance of the rights of
non-Muslim citizens. That all showed that Islam
recognizes prulalitas in religion and cultural and
in the context of coexistence based on the values of fairness, respect, freedom
and participation of all citizens.
D.
Conclusion
Preview a back, the war crimes or radicalism on the
interests of religion is the resistance to against
the pace of modernization and globalization. But Islam as a religion of peace
required to remain vigilant to move and act, lest the efforts ultimately only
hurt the value of the religious and moral order. Because of religious revival
should bring back human spirituality and religiosity for independence, freedom
and universal humanity. Historical glimpses of the manifesto Charter of Medina
is a real example of the Prophet Muhammad that proven by
showing that Islam and the Muslim community could give decent place to respect for the rights of the most fundamental human
rights, especially freedom of religion and belief. That because of Islam as the
religion of peace. In the spread of religion and establishing the truth, Islam
never taught coercion or violence. Islam was
synonymous with tolerance, unity and peace. The unity of Muslims by fellow
Muslims likened to a body that was complementary
of each of its parts. Tolerance and recognize the existence of other religions
showed the attitude of Islamic tolerance to show that
Islam respected differences and loved
peace. Islam was a religion that was intended
for all people around the world, the preaching was
done gently and given advice, and not force. Islam was a
religion that was able to integrate with every
tradition and culture at various levels of society. Islam was not
a limit on modernization because its universal,
capable of enveloping every soft culture and human culture throughout the
times.
